What makes a city ‘smart’? How do technologies empower cities in undergoing transformations, making smart services more efficient, and offering new products that will eventually boost the economy? Why is digitalisation important for SMEs?

All of these questions will be answered when you attend the Selangor Smart City and Digital Economy Convention (SDEC), which will take place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from 6 to 9 October 2022.

What is SDEC about?

SDEC brings together industry leaders, academics, SMEs, as well as public and private sector players to delve into the mechanics of existing and future smart city, digital economy frameworks and solutions.

Themed ‘Sustainable Digitalisation Towards a Net-Zero Future’, the 7th SDEC is hosted by the Selangor state government and organised by Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec).

This event is held in conjunction with the Selangor International Business Summit (SIBS) 2022, with the following objectives to:

  • Spearhead the digital transformation of Selangor as ASEAN’s digital hub.
  • Act as a platform for local industry players to engage and discuss new normal and emerging trends.
  • Strengthen and grow the Selangor digitalisation ecosystem for SMEs.

This is what you can expect from SDEC 2022
