An Indian dog enthusiast has made headlines by purchasing the world’s most expensive dog, Cadabomb Okami, for $5.7 million (approx. RM26.8 million). The rare “wolfdog” is the first-ever hybrid of a wolf and a Caucasian Shepherd.

Bred in the US, Okami is just eight months old but already weighs over 165 lbs (75 kg) and stands at 30 inches (76 cm) tall. Its protective instincts make it a formidable guardian breed.
The buyer, S Sathish, 51, is a renowned breeder in Bengaluru, India, who owns over 150 dog breeds. “I love dogs and enjoy introducing rare breeds to India,” he said, after purchasing Okami through a broker in February.
Since arriving in India, Okami has become a sensation. A video of the dog at a film premiere gained over 3 million views. Sathish, who now earns money by showcasing his rare dogs, charges between $2,800 (RM13,200) and $11,700 (RM55,200) for public appearances.

His dogs live on a spacious seven-acre farm, each with a dedicated 20 ft by 20 ft (6m x 6m) kennel and six caretakers.
Sathish previously bought a rare Chow Chow resembling China’s Qinling panda for $3.25 million (RM15.3 million), but Okami is now his most prized possession. “This breed has never been sold before anywhere in the world,” he said.
