A man was given a birthday cake by the police in Palawan, Philippines, while being held in lock-up.
According to The Philippine Star, the “Most Wanted Person of Bataraza, Puerto Princesa, Palawan” aka Allan Barrientos Delos Angeles, was arrested by the Altavas municipality police on Tuesday (April 19).
Police then discovered that it was his birthday when they arrested him.
They then decided to surprise Angeles with a birthday cake with “Happy 45th birthday Allan!” written on the cake.
The photo of Angeles holding up a placard with his information for his mug shot alongside the policeman with the cake made its way on social media.
Angeles has an outstanding arrest warrant since 1996 for illegal possession of firearms and murder.
However, Angeles was released on bail by Wednesday (April 20).
Altavas police said that Angeles did not resist arrest when he saw the warrant as he wanted to clear his name and live well.
