Pilots of a Malaysia Airlines flight have been commended for their impressive handling of a landing at London's Heathrow Airport (LHR) amid the challenges of a storm over the weekend.

A video shared on the 'True Malaysia Airlines Fans' Facebook page, originally streamed by aviation spotter Big Jet TV on YouTube, captured the smooth touchdown of the Malaysia Airlines Airbus A350-900, despite being buffeted by the strong crosswinds of Storm Darragh.
The accompanying caption to the video noted: "Interesting video... Looks like row 40 in Economy was landing first. Many go-arounds today at LHR because of Storm Darragh."
The video commentator was equally astonished by the pilots’ skill, remarking, "Blimey! Huge swing there. That's a massive crabbing to the landing. Awesome."
The footage shows the aircraft performing a "crabbing" landing — a technique where the plane approaches the runway at an angle to counteract crosswinds, making the plane appear non-perpendicular to the runway.
Viewers online were quick to praise the pilots, acknowledging their professionalism and skill in executing the challenging landing under difficult weather conditions.
