The Tanner family is back — at least in spirit. This past weekend, beloved Full House alums reunited in Los Angeles for a special live taping of iHeartRadio’s “How Rude, Tanneritos!” podcast, hosted by Andrea Barber (Kimmy Gibbler) and Jodie Sweetin (Stephanie Tanner). The heartfelt event brought together key cast members including John Stamos, Lori Loughlin, Scott Weinger, and Marla Sokoloff for a nostalgic walk down memory lane — and a touching tribute to the late Bob Saget.
The centerpiece of the event was a fan-favorite moment: Stamos and Loughlin revisited their iconic TV romance as Uncle Jesse and Aunt Becky, recounting behind-the-scenes stories from their characters’ wedding — a scene etched in the hearts of '90s kids everywhere.
Stamos and Loughlin’s chemistry has always been a highlight of the series, and their reunion felt like a seamless continuation of that connection. Their real-life bond, as Stamos revealed last year while promoting his memoir If You Would Have Told Me, almost blossomed into something more off-screen. Though romance never materialized, Stamos said their friendship has been the kind "that’s supposed to be the foundation of a great, lasting relationship."
Notably absent were Candace Cameron Bure, Dave Coulier, and Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen — but that didn’t stop the energy from feeling like a true Full House family moment. Series creator Jeff Franklin also joined the festivities.
It’s one of only a handful of times the cast has come together since Saget’s unexpected death in January 2022. The comedian, who played beloved dad Danny Tanner, passed away at age 65 after suffering head trauma in a Florida hotel room. The tragedy stunned fans and castmates alike — but ever since, the Full House family has made a point of honoring his memory.
They’ve shared heartfelt social media tributes on his birthday, including video montages, vintage photos, and loving messages from those closest to him. His widow, Kelly Rizzo, even shared a charming story of a birthday dinner where a mosquito bite turned into a silly restaurant “surgery” that left Saget — and the staff — in stitches.
Though Full House wrapped more than two decades ago, its spirit remains alive and well in moments like this. The cast's genuine affection for one another — and for the fans who’ve stuck with them through it all — proves that family, chosen or scripted, really is forever.
