Malaysians were shocked when pictures and videos of LRT passengers in a blooded condition circulated on social media.

Yesterday (May 24th), two LRT trains on the Kelana Jaya line collided at 8:45pm. The accident between KLCC and Kampung Baru LRT station caused 64 people to be hospitalised.
In a press conference today (May 25th), Prasarana Malaysia Berhad President, Dato Sri Tajuddin Abdul Rahman expressed his sympathy towards the victims of the incident and apologized to the public.
All 213 passengers will receive a compensation sum of RM1,000 regardless of their condition.
“Those hospitalised will have their medical fees supported as well,” he added.
Aside from that, Datuk Seri Ir. Dr Wee Ka Siong, Minister of Transport, will be forming an immediate task force to investigate the cause of the accident, and it will take approximately two weeks.
