Penang has reported its first COVID-19 case and Penangites have been advised to stay calm amid the news.

It was reported that the COVID-19 patient, who works in Bayan Lepas, had contact with another COVID-19 patient in Kuala Lumpur.

The state’s health director, Dr Asmayani Khalib, reminded the public to always practise good hygiene standards by keeping their hands clean frequently and to avoid crowded places when possible.

If you’re experiencing COVID-19-like symptoms such as fever, cough and breathing difficulties, please visit the nearest clinic or hospital for treatment.
