Located on the southern banks of the Brisbane River, its 17 hectares of lush parklands feature world-class eateries, stunning river views and hundreds of delightful events all year round. Hop on to iconic Wheel of Brisbane to take in a 360-degree panoramic view of the city.  

Smacked in the heart of this parkland is Streets Beach, Australia’s only man-made inner-city beach.

#2 Mount Coot-tha’s Brisbane Lookout

For a stunning panoramic view of the CBD all the way to Morton Bay, head over to Mount Coot-tha's Brisbane Lookout.

If you choose to visit this location in the morning, you can also get some hiking done by following The Honeyeater Track which leads you through 2.1km of bushland. The track starts a mere 375m from the lookout. Along the way, you can pop into a café and get your dose of coffee and a slice of cake or two. 

#3 Eat Street Northshore

A former container wharf turned lively venue for some delicious eats (including Halal, vegan, gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options) and entertainment – 180 containers to be exact. With so many choices, there’s never a dull weekend when you visit this blazing-coloured landmark in Brisbane.

#4 Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary

So, are we talking about koalas or kangaroos? At Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, you not only get the chance to be up close and personal – like cuddle them, kind of close – with koalas, but also other famous Australian wildlife such as Tasmanian devils, platypus and emus, and kangaroos in a bushland setting.

They also put on an Australian Outback farm life show featuring sheep dogs showing off their sheep mustering skills.
