Wenger resists quit calls

Mar 07, 2017

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is resisting calls to step down, following their recent run of bad results.

He says the club's future should not be decided based on knee-jerk reactions, following a recent run of bad results.

Watford, Chelsea and Liverpool have all beaten the Gunners convincingly in recent weeks, while they trail Bayern Munich 5-1 going into the 2nd leg of their Champions League last-16 tie tomorrow morning.

Meanwhile, former Arsenal striker Nicolas Anelka says Wenger is not at fault for the club's recent woes.

Instead, he blames it on the players, who lack the winning mentality of past Arsenal squads.
