Tottenham and Liverpool make up Champions League last-4!

Apr 18, 2019

Tottenham have reached their first-ever Champions League semifinals in dramatic fashion, despite losing 4-3 to Manchester City in their second leg quarterfinal at the Etihad this morning.

Five of the goals were scored in the first 21 minutes, with Fernando Llorente netting the crucial goal for Spurs in the second half, to level the tie 4-all on aggregate, and send the London club through on away goals.

Raheem Sterling could have won it for City, but his injury time goal was ruled out by the Video Assistant Referee.

Elsewhere, Liverpool have also progressed to the semis, after beating Porto 4-1 in Portugal this morning.

Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Virgil van Dijk all got on the scoresheet, to secure a 6-1 aggregate victory.

Liverpool will next take on Barcelona in the semis, while Tottenham are up against Ajax.
