Rafael Nadal has advanced to semifinals of the French tennis Open, after defeating Diego Schwartzman.

Waiting for Nadal in the last 4 is Juan Martin Del Potro, who booked his ticket in the next round by defeating Marin Cilic.

In the women's draw, world number one Simona Halep took out Garbine Muguruza in straight sets to set up a meeting with Sloane Stephens in the final.

Stephens herself gained entry into the final by defeating Madison Keys also in straight sets.
