Novak Djokovic has been disqualified from the US Open

There's been a huge shock at the US tennis Open.

World number one and tournament favourite Novak Djokovic has been kicked out of the event after accidentally hitting and injuring a line judge with a ball.

The top seed had hit the ball in anger during his fourth round match against Pablo Careno Busta. 

Television replays showed that he didnt mean to strike the line judge, but Djokovic was deemed to have broken the rules which state that players are not allowed to hit the ball in a dangerous or reckless manner on the court.

Djokovic has since issued an apology for his actions.

Maiden win for Gasly

Alpha Tauri's Pierre Gasly has won his first ever F1 race with a stunning victory at the Italian GP.

He took advantage of a 10-second penalty for pole-sitter Lewis Hamilton, who was punished for coming in for a stop after the pit lane had been closed.

McLaren's Carlos Sainz and Racing Point's Lance Stroll rounded up the podium spots.

Thomas/Uber Cup squads named

The BAM has gone with a mix of youth and experience for Malaysia's Thomas Cup squad. 

National number one Lee Zii Jia will lead the charge alongside Liew Darren, Cheam June Wei and Leong Jun Hao.

Doubles pairs Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik, Goh Sze Fei-Nur Izzudin Rumsani and Teo Ee Yi-Ong Yew Sin complete the lineup.

Meanwhile, our Uber Cup squad has Soniia Cheah spearheading Malaysia's challenge, alongside familiar names like S. Kisona, Goh Jin Wei and the doubles pair of Chow Mei Kuan-Lee Meng Yean.
