Aug 01, 2016

Malaysia's new 'Sprint King' Khairul Hafiz Jantan has been named "best sportsman" at the SUKMA Games in Sarawak.

The Melaka-born athlete set a new national record for 100 meters race and also broke 4 Sukma records.

Terengganu archer Nur Aqilah Yusof, who broke the national record in the women's 70-meter recurve event and rewrote 2 Games records, was crowned best sportswoman.

Selangor emerged as the overall champion for the 9th time with 59 gold, 73 silver and 63 bronze medals.

The Games concluded with a dazzling closing ceremony in Sarawak last night.
