Max Verstappen's father launches social media tirade

Oct 23, 2017

Max Verstappen's father has launched a social media tirade, after the Red Bull driver was denied a podium finish at this morning's US F1 Grand Prix.

He hit out at the FIA for the last-lap 5-second penalty on his son for over taking Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen for 3rd place with all 4 wheels off the track.

However, Verstappen Senior says nobody else was penalised the entire weekend, despite making the same offence.

Despite the penalty, his 20-year-old son was still voted Driver of the Day, having displayed an impressive comeback after starting the race in 16th.
