Liverpool weigh up goalkeeping options
Aug 11, 2019
Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk is confident that back-up goalkeeper Adrian can easily adapt to the first team if first-choice stopper Alisson Becker is sidelined for a long time.
Becker had to be substituted in their opening match against Norwich, due to a calf injury.
Liverpool are waiting for the results of a scan on the injury, but initial reports say that he could be out for several weeks.
Caoimhin Kelleher is also out injured, which means that Adrian is their only fit stopper.
Because of this, the Reds may sign veteran stopper Andy Lonergan on a free transfer.
The 35-year-old is available on a free transfer having left Middlesbrough in the summer.

The French club earlier said it's in advanced negotiations with an unspecified club.
