 Liverpool thrash Watford to stay top of league

Liverpool remain top of the Premier League table, after a convincing 5-0 win over Watford at Anfield this morning. 

The Reds are one point ahead of second-placed Man City, who managed to pull off a narrow 1-0 win over West Ham.

Meanwhile, Tottenham's hopes as title contenders have taken a further hit, after they fell to a 2-0 defeat to Chelsea - leaving Spurs nine points adrift of the leaders.

Arsenal thrashed Bournemouth 5-1
While Southampton beat Fulham 2-0

Federer reaches Dubai quarterfinals

Roger Federer is through to the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships, with a hard fought win over Fernando Verdasco. 

This, as top seed Kei Nishikori crashed out of the event, losing in three sets to a Polish qualifier.
 

Government agree on medical aid for athletes

Back home...the Government has agreed to provide medical and health benefits to all current and former national athletes. 

It will also inject 3 million ringgit into the National Athletes Welfare Foundation...in recognition of their contribution to the country.
