Lionel Messi to stay at Barcelona

Lionel Messi says he will remain with current club Barcelona.

This is after Barca told the captain he could only leave once his €700 million release clause was met.

Messi says it would be impossible for any team to pay the hefty cost. 

Earlier, the 33-year-old was strongly linked with a move to Manchester City.

Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz completes signing with Chelsea

Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz has officially signed a five-year deal with Chelsea for over £70 million. 

The 21-year-old joins a list of Chelsea's newest star-studded arrivals including Timo Werner, Ben Chilwell and Thiago Silva.

Meanwhile, its believed the club is looking to add two more signings.

According to UK media, Chelsea are keen on goalkeeper Eduoard Mendy from French club Renne, as well as West Ham's Declan Rice.

The Czech Republic have announced they will not go through with next week's Nations League clash over Scotland due to COVID-19. 

The Scottish FA is now awaiting confirmation from UEFA on whether the game will go ahead.
