Liew Darren crashes out of Hong Kong Open

Malaysian men's singles shuttler Liew Darren has crashed out of the Hong Kong Badminton Open.

This, after he lost to a Hong Kong opponent during the qualification stage.

Meanwhile, fellow Malaysian Chong Wei Feng has pulled out, but the reason is unclear.

Later this evening, mixed doubles pairs Tan Kian Meng-Lai Pei Jing and Goh Soon Huat-Shevon Lai will be in action in the first round.
