Lewandowski is the best in Europe

Robert Lewandowski has been crowned the UEFA men's Player of the Year.

It caps a remarkable past season for the Bayern Munich striker, who scored 55 goals to help his side to the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup titles.

Lewandowski also ended the season as the top scorer in the Champions League and Bundesliga, in addition to bagging the German league's Player of the Season prize.

The draw for the group stage of this season's Champions League has thrown together some interesting matchups.

Bayern are in the same group as Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid are together with Inter Milan
Liverpool were grouped together with Ajax
Man United will face PSG and RB Leipzig
While the most notable draw sees Juventus in the same group as Barcelona...which means we'll see a clash between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.

Gunners edge The Reds

Arsenal are through to the quarterfinals of the EFL Cup after beating Liverpool 5-4 on penalties this morning.

The match had ended goalless after regulation time.

The Gunners will next face Man City in the last eight, while Man United are up against Everton, Newcastle face Brentford, while Tottenham will take on Stoke City.
