José Mourinho rejects Benfica job

José Mourinho has reportedly rejected an offer from Portuguese club Benfica, to take over as their new manager.

Mourinho has been out of a job since he was sacked as Man United boss last month, and has been linked with a return to his native Portugal ever since.

Benfica themselves are currently on the hunt for a new boss, following the sacking of Rui Faria.

Chan Peng Soon-Goh Liu Ying, Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong not listed in tiering system

BAM have announced that Chan Peng Soon and Goh Liu Ying, as well as Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong, have been dropped from the National Sports Institute's tiering system.

The decision to remove them from the training program was made, following the players' decisions to leave the national squad, and go independent.

BAM will now work with the NSI and local badminton clubs, to find potential players to fill their spots in the program.

Nishikori and Pliskova emerge champions at Brisbane International

Japan's Kei Nishikori has won his first ATP title since 2016, after beating Russia's Daniil Medvedev at the Brisbane International final.

Earlier, Czech Republic's Karolina Pliskova won the women's trophy.
