Former Barca president determined to keep Lionel Messi

Former Barcelona president Joan Laporta believes that Lionel Messi will remain with the club next season, despite speculation over Messi's future at Barca.

Laporta is running to be re-elected after the club's previous president resigned earlier this year.

He says if elected his first task would be to convince Messi to extend his stay with the club.

Arsenal players reportedly risk pay cut if relegated from EPL

Arsenal players could face a pay cut if the club were to be relegated from the Premier League.

According to UK media, several players will be forced to have their salary lowered by 25 percent.

Arsenal are currently 15th in the EPL table and four points clear of the relegation zone.

Barcelona reportedly set to announced Eric Garcia signing

Barcelona will reportedly announce the signing of Man City's Eric Garcia next month.

However, Garcia will only be arriving at the club next summer, following the end of the current campaign.

Garcia has been a first-team regular for Man City this season, but earlier announced his desire to return to Spain.
