England skipper, Wayne Rooney says he and the rest of the squad want Roy Hodgson to stay on as Three Lions manager beyond Euro 2016.

Rooney says Hodgson has not only created a very good team but also a fantastic atmosphere at the training ground, setting the tone for the next several years.

Hodgson's contract as England boss expires after the Euros. 

Meanwhile Rooney may be rested for the England's final Group B game against Slovakia

Danny Rose, Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Raheem Sterling and Kyle Walker are also expected to be benched.
