England manager vacancy updates
Jun 29, 2016
The English FA is refusing to to rule out the possibility of naming a foreigner as Roy Hodgson's successor.
He says they are looking for the best person for the job and nationality will not be an issue.
However, skipper Wayne Rooney says he prefers and Englishman.
Meanwhile, Under-21 boss Gareth Southgate may become interim England manager, if no one is appointed before their first World Cup qualifier in September.
But ex-Tottenham boss, Harry Redknapp says this would be a bad idea.
Redknapp, who lost out to the England job by Hodgson, says Southgate knows nothing about winning games.
He believes Hull boss Steve Bruce and Sunderland's Sam Allardyce should be the favourites.
