Datuk Nicol David's future plans after named World Games' Greatest Athlete of All Time

National squash legend Datuk Nicol David told us she is planning to return home soon, to continue working on the Nicol David Foundation, which aims to empower the youth with sports.

She says she also has other projects in mind…

“I have a couple of projects lined up, and motivational talks happening virtually as I planned to keep to my path of being an advocate for women's youth and sport.”

This comes after Datuk Nicol was named the World Games' Greatest Athlete of All Time.

Joel Matip benched for rest of season due to ankle problem

Liverpool's Joel Matip has been ruled out for the rest of the season due to an ankle injury.

Matip suffered the blow during their Premier League victory over Tottenham last week.

Boss Jurgen Klopp revealed that Matip had previously been playing for the team despite not being fully fit, but believes he will be ready for the next pre-season.

FIFA confident over full stadiums during 2022 Qatar World Cup

FIFA is hopeful that matches for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar will be played in full stadiums.

Its President Gianni Infantino is confident that the COVID-19 pandemic will be contained by the time the World Cup kicks off.

He adds that the country will use the Club World Cup tournament this month to test out all safety protocols to prepare for next year's tournament.
