Daniel Sturridge to make his first start for England in 18 months

Mar 29, 2016

Daniel Sturridge will make his first start for England in 18 months in the friendly against the Netherlands at Wembley, tomorrow morning.

Manager Roy Hodgson will be making changes from the 3-2 win against Germany to assess the Liverpool striker, who missed the entire Euro 2016 qualifying campaign with injury.

This, as strikers Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy impressed last weekend and are strong contenders to lead England's attack at the Euros this summer.

Meanwhile, James Milner will captain England for the first time, in the tomorrow, replacing the injured Wayne Rooney.
