Crystal Palace halt Arsenal's winning run

Arsenal have been held to goalless draw by Crystal Palace in their Premier League tie at the Emirates this morning.

It leaves the Gunners 11th in the standings, eight points adrift of the top four.

The result also ends Arsenal's run of four straight wins in all competitions.

Bibao stun Real

Holders Real Madrid have been knocked out of the Spanish Super Cup after losing 2-1 to Atheltic Bilbao in the semifinals this morning.

Prior to this, Bilbao had only won one of their previous 22 matches against the La Liga giants.

They will now go on to face Barcelona in the final on Monday morning.

Murray a doubt for Aussie Open

Andy Murray’s participation at next month’s Australian tennis Open is in doubt, after the former world number one contracted Covid-19.

Murray – who says he’s showing no serious symptoms – is now in a race against time to make the first Grand Slam of the year.

He now needs to recover, return a negative test, and complete a two-week quarantine in Melbourne, before being allowed to compete at the tournament, which starts on February 8th.
