Chong Wei pulls out of upcoming China Open

Nov 08, 2016

Datuk Lee Chong Wei has pulled out of the upcoming China badminton Open, to continue his process of recovery from an injury.

The Malaysian shuttler doesn't want to take any risks, as he's just recovered from a hamstring problem, and is targeting a return in the BWF Super Series Finals in Dubai.

Although the withdrawal could see the world number 5 drop a couple of spots, he's confident of staying in the top 8 world rankings to play in the season-ending tournament.
