Chelsea beat Crystal Palace to boost European hopes

Chelsea have strengthened their position in the Premiership's top four after snatching a 3-2 win over Crystal Palace this morning.

The win moves the Blues up into third place, one point ahead of Leicester, who salvaged a 1-1 draw with Arsenal.

Jamie Vardy was the hero for the Foxes, netting the equaliser in the 84th minute, after Pierre Emerick Aubamayang had given the Gunners a first-half lead.

Bottom club Norwich are one game away from being the first Premiership team to be relegated this season. 

This, after the Canaries were beaten 2-1 by Watford.

Norwich will confirm their drop, if they lose their next match against West Ham this weekend.

Nadal to skip US Open?

There are question marks surrounding Rafa Nadal's participation in the upcoming US tennis Open.

This is because the Spaniard has signed up for the Madrid Open, which starts just a day after the US grand slam concludes.

Depsite being the defending champion at Flushing Meadows, Nadal has repeatedly spoken about his reluctance to play in the US, amid the Covid-19 oubtreak.

Alonso bound for Renault return

Reports say former F1 world champion Fernando Alonso has already agreed to join Renault next season.

Alonso, who left the sport in 2018, will take over from Daniel Ricciardo, who will join McLaren at the end of the current campaign.
