British GP Wants Cardboard Cutout Fans

Jun 08, 2020

Silverstone says the racing circuit could place cardboard cut-outs of fans for their two F1 events this season.

Since both races will be held behind closed doors amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Silverstone believes this will help make the track feel less empty.

This is similar to what the German Bundesliga did when their football matches resumed.

Liverpool's mayor is against plans to stage the upcoming Merseyside Derby at a neutral venue.

He says the match between Everton and Liverpool should be held at Goodison Park, as he's confident that local authorities can provide a safe environment.

The venue for the the match has yet to be confirmed, with authorities suggesting that it be held on neutral ground.

They're concerned about large numbers of fans gathering outside the stadion, in breach of COVID-19 social distancing rules.

Man United have reportedly been in talks to sign Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz for several weeks now.

It's believed  that the 20-year-old midfielder is open to moving to Old Trafford,  despite having other clubs hot on his tail.

Havertz is also a target of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.
