Barcelona have rejected rumours that club legend Patrick Kluivert will be appointed their new manager, when the Champions League resumes next month.

Sources say Kluivert’s name has not been mentioned at all.

This, amid speculation about current Barca boss Qique Setien, after they missed out on the La Liga title to Real Madrid.

But for now it’s believed that he will remain in charge for their Champions League campaign.

Former Leicester boss Claude Puel is being linked with the manager’s job at Watford.

This, after Nigel Pearson was sacked at the weekend following their 3-1 loss to West Ham.

The result leaves Watford just 3 points above the relegation zone, with games against Man City and Arsenal coming up.

Pearson was Watford’s third full-time manager this season, after Quique Sanchez-Flores and Javi Gracia.

Only one quarter of people in Japan want to see the COVID-19-delayed Tokyo Olympics taking place next year.

A new survey said a majority of respondents feel that it should be delayed further, while others want it cancelled altogether.

They reckon that the coronavirus cannot be contained in time for the Games, which are set to take place from July 23rd 2021.

This follows an earlier survey, which showed that most residents of Tokyo are against staging the games.
