Atletico Madrid sign Suarez from Barcelona

Sep 26, 2020

Atletico Madrid have completed the signing of striker Luis Suarez from La Liga rivals Barcelona.

The Uruguay international signed a 2-year contract with the club after passing his medical.

Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane says he does not want to sign any more players before the transfer window shuts.

He says he doesn't intend to do so even after his side looked short on firepower in their goalless draw at Real Sociedad in last week's season opener.

Real have been unusually quiet in the transfer window since winning La Liga in July, making no new signings, despite parting ways with Gareth Bale, James Rodriguez, Achraf Hakimi and Sergio Reguilon.

Gabriel Jesus will miss Man City ’s next three matches, after picking up an injury in the win at Wolves earlier this week.

The full extent of the problem has not been revealed, but the Brazilian FA announced he had pulled out of their squad for next month’s World Cup qualifiers.
