Man Wei Chong and Tee Kai Wun are the Indonesian Badminton Masters champions.

The Malaysians recorded a straight sets victory over the higher-ranked Fajar Alfian and Rian Ardianto from the host nation in the men’s doubles final.

They are the first Malaysian shuttlers to win a title at the tournament, since its inception in 2010.

Meanwhile, compatriots Pearly Tan and M.Thinaah finished as runners up in the women’s doubles, going down to their Korean opponents after a hard-fought three sets battle.

Lisandro Martinez scored the only goal of the game to help Man United to a 1-1 Premier League win over Fulham this morning.

In other results…Tottenham fell to their fourth straight EPL defeat, going down 2-1 to Leicester.

Brentford defeated Crystal Palace also 2-1.

While Aston Villa and West Ham played out a 1-1 draw.

Over in La Liga…Barcelona thrashed Valencia 7-1 to move up to third in the standings, seven points behind leaders Real Madrid.

Elsewhere, Inter recorded a 4-0 win over Lecce to stay within three points of Serie A leaders Napoli.

Back home in the Malaysian Super League…Perak had a dominant 7-0 win over Kelantan Darul Naim, while Sri Pahang and KL City played out a 1-1 draw.

 

And, Jannik Sinner has won his second successive Australian tennis Open title after a straight sets victory over Alexander Zverev in the men’s final.

This is his third Grand Slam title overall, making him the first Italian to win three majors.
