Opening Ceremony Attire Unveiled

The Malaysian contingent will be represented by a small team at the Paris Olympics opening ceremony.

The chef de mission says we’re sending six athletes – including the two flag-bearers – as well as four officials.

This, as local designers Rizman Ruzaini unveiled the official attire for our contingent at the opening ceremony.

They’ll be wearing a traditional Malay design in olive green and brown with golden hues – to represent our quest for a gold medal.

In other developments, Malaysia have held Thailand to a 1-1 draw in their final group match of the Under-19 ASEAN Championship.

Our juniors will next face hosts Indonesia in tomorrow’s semifinal.

In Malaysian Super League action…Sabah climbed up to second in the standings, after a 2-0 victory over Negeri Sembilan.

And, Alpine F1 driver Esteban Ocon has signed a multi-year deal to join Haas next season…as a replacement for the outgoing Kevin Magnussen.
