Real Madrid had to fight back from two goals down, to record an impressive 5-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund in their Champions League tie this morning.

Vinicius Jr was the star for the Spanish giants with a second-half hattrick.

In other selected results…Juventus conceded in injury-time to fall to a 1-0 defeat to Stuttgart.

Arsenal needed an own goal to beat Shakhtar Donetsk 1-0.

Aston Villa made it three wins from three games by beating Bologna 2-0.

While PSG were held to a 1-1 draw by PSV Eindhoven.

Closer to home…JDT have suffered their first defeat in the AFC Champions League Elite, going down 3-1 to South Korean side Gwangju.

The Olympic Council of Malaysia says it accepts the organizer’s decision to drop key sports like badminton, squash and diving from the 2026 Commonwealth Games.

It says it understands the need to hold a scaled-down version of the games due to host Glasgow’s limited resources, despite the decision putting a dent on Malaysia’s medal hopes.

And, national doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik have fallen two places to sixth in the latest badminton world rankings, after Wooi Yik’s toe injury affected their post-Olympic performance.
