Tottenham are considering appealing Uefa’s decision to award Renne a 3-nil victory after their Europa Conference League match was postponed.

Boss Antonio Conte says he is disappointed with the decision and that the club deserve to play for qualification on the pitch.

Tottenham were unable to play their final group match against Rennes earlier this month due to a COVID-19 outbreak.

The forfeit also saw Tottenham out of the league.

Liverpool’s assistant manager says it is absurd that the club must play two games in just four days, given their COVID-19 and injury woes.

Meanwhile, Pep Lijnders believes that the Premier League should consult with experts and not club executives when it comes to dealing with the coronavirus.

This comes after the Premier League decided to go ahead with Christmas fixtures, despite a surge in COVID-19 cases in the league.
