Man City are increasingly confident that Erling Haaland will sign a contract extension to remain with the Premier League champions.

This, amid multiple reports linking the Norwegian with a summer exit, despite having two-and-a-half seasons still to run on his existing deal.

Insiders, however, say City are working out a lucrative new contract that will see Haaland earning half a million pounds per week, which would make him the highest-paid player in the Premier League.

It follows rumours that Cahill will be part of a new special unit within the FAM to monitor the performance and management of the national football team.

The race for the MotoGP world title will come down to the final event of the season in Barcelona today.

This, after defending champion Francesco Bagnaia won yesterday’s sprint race to trail current championship leader Jorge Martin by 19 points.

This means that Martin only needs to finish in the top nine in today’s main race to wrap up the world title…regardless of Bagnaia’s result.
