National women’s doubles shuttler Chow Mei Kuan has announced her retirement.

The BAM says it tried to persuade her to stay, but the 26 year old was adamant about hanging up her racket.

Her last outing was at the Tokyo Olympics together with Lee Meng Yean – where they won one of their three group matches.

Mei Kuan’s highest achievement came when she won the Commonwealth Games gold medal alongside Vivian Hoo in 2018.

PSG have reportedly given up on trying to sign Paul Pogba this summer.

The French champions will instead wait for the midfielder’s current Man United deal to expire at the end of the season, before signing him on a free transfer next year.

Sources say PSG have already prepared an offer worth more than half a million pounds a week, to lure the World Cup winner to Paris.

Unsettled striker Harry Kane has been included in Tottenham’s squad for their Europa Conference League play-off tie later this week.

He had been left out of the EPL opener against Man City on Sunday, amid speculation over his potential transfer to the Premiership champions.

Incidentally, even if Kane does feature for Spurs in the Conference League…he would still be eligible to play for City in the Champions League.
