George Russell has won the Canadian F1 GP…to give Mercedes its first win of the season.

Red Bull’s Max Verstappen finished second, while Mercedes rookie Kimi Antonelli took third for his maiden podium finish.

Meanwhile, McLaren’s championship leader Oscar Piastri finished fourth, after a collision with teammate Lando Norris.

Bayern Munich have recorded the biggest victory in the history of the FIFA Club World Cup, after a 10-0 thrashing of New Zealand’s Auckland City.

Meanwhile, newly-crowned European champions PSG got their campaign underway with a 4-0 victory over Atletico Madrid.
