Real Madrid v Arsenal: The Preview

Apr 16, 2025

real madrid v arsenal: the preview

Real Madrid will be hoping for a spectacular comeback, when they host Arsenal in their Champions League second leg quarterfinal tomorrow morning.

Real were beaten 3-0 in the first leg, but will be banking on their homeground advantage to pull off a major upset.

It has been decades since Real had successfully overturned a deficit of three goals or more in Europe's highest competition,.

The Spanish giants will be without the suspended Eduardo Camavinga, but Kylian Mbappe is available, as his sending off against Alaves at the weekend has no bearing on tomorrow's game.

Meanwhile, Thomas Partey has been given the all-clear to play for Arsenal, after suffering a suspected injury in last weekend's EPL match against Brentford.

However Jorginho has been ruled out due to a chest injury that he picked up in the Brentford game.

--

Reports say that Bournemouth defender Dean Huijsen would prefer to stay in the Premier League this summer, despite attracting interest from European giants Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The 20-year-old Spanish defender has also attracted interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

--

And a British tennis player has issued a public apology after she complained about her French opponent's body odour and asked her to wear deodorant, during their WTA match in France.
