Spain are the Euro 2024 champions.

They defeated England 2-1 in this morning’s final, with Mikel Oyarzabal netting the winner four minutes from time, to help his side lift the trophy for a record fourth time.

The Spaniards also won every single game this tournament, en-route to their latest title.

They also swept two individual awards – with Rodri being named the player of the tournament, while Lamine Yamal picked up the young player of the tournament prize, just days after his 17th birthday.

As for England, the defeat extends their 58-year wait for a major trophy.

In other developments…Man United have completed the signing of striker Joshua Zirkzee…in a 36.5 million pounds move from Bologna.

Liverpool have reportedly started negotiations to sign Crystal Palace and England center-back Marc Guehi.

Carlos Alcaraz has won his second successive Wimbledon title, after a dominant straight sets victory over Novak Djokovic.

At 21, Alcaraz is now the youngest man to win both Wimbledon and the French Open in the same year.

And, the professional cyclists union says its planning legal action against a spectator, who threw potato chips in the face of two riders at Stage 14 of the ongoing Tour de France…in an incident that has since gone viral on social media.
