Another Productive Day At The SEA Games

The Malaysian contingent has added a further 23 medals at the SEA Games, comprising six gold, two silver and 15 bronze.

The gold medals came via figure skating, cricket, judo, wushu, swimming and the shot-put event.

Malaysia are now fifth in the overall standings with a total of 16 gold, 15 silver and 48 bronze medals.

Meanwhile, the pairs of Pearly Tan-M.Thinaah and Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik have both made the final of the women’s and men’s badminton doubles respectively.

However, Chen Tang Jie-Toh Ee Wei suffered a semifinal defeat while our men’s and women’s singles reps were also eliminated in the last four.

Over in the Premier League…leaders Arsenal needed an injury-time own-goal to snatch a 2-1 win over bottom club Wolves.

The Gunners how have a five-point lead over second-placed Man City, who’ll be in action against Crystal Palace later tonight.

In other EPL results…Liverpool defeated Brighton 2-0

Chelsea had a 2-0 win over Everton

While Fulham edged past Burnley 3-2.

 Over in Spain, Barcelona have opened up a seven-point lead at the summit of La Liga…after a 2-0 victory over Osasuna.

And, angry Lionel Messi fans threw seats and other objects onto the field at a stadium in Kolkata after being frustrated that the football superstar only made a brief 20-minute appearance during a publicity tour of India.
