Liverpool have opened up a massive lead at the top of the EPL standings after coming from behind to beat Southampton 3-1.

The victory leaves The Reds with a 16-point advantage over second-placed Arsenal, who have two games in hand.

In other selected results, Man City suffered their ninth defeat of the season, going down 1-0 to Nottingham Forest.

Aston Villa defeated Brentford by a goal to nil.

While Brighton had a 2-1 win over Fulham.

Elsewhere, Serie A leaders Inter came from behind to beat Monza 3-2, to open up a four point lead over Napoli.

Back home, in Malaysian Super League action…Faisal Halim scored his first goals since his acid attack, netting a hattrick in Selangor’s 7-0 win over Kelantan Darul Naim.

Sri Pahang defeated PDRM 3-1…while Perak and Negeri Sembilan played out a goalless draw.

Malaysia’s challenge at the Orleans Badminton Masters is over.

This, after our last remaining rep Yap Roy King and Wan Arif Junaidi, lost to the top-ranked pair from China, in the men’s doubles semifinal.

Meanwhile, Malaysia’s Ng Eain Yow has suffered a straight sets defeat to Marwan Elshorbagy of Egypt in the semifinals of the New Zealand Squash Open.
