Progress In Pearly-Thinaah Contract Talks

Jul 08, 2025

progress in pearly-thinaah contract talks

There's a good chance that Pearly Tan – M. Thinaah will continue with the Badminton Association of Malaysia.

BAM's Sec Gen Datuk Kenny Goh says the association has had positive talks with the women's doubles duo over their new contract.

Pearly and Thinaah's contract expired back in December, and previous rumours hinted that they were considering becoming independent.

Recently, the BAM president said that their status would be confirmed before next week's Japan Open.

Elsewhere, Kenny says Ng Tze Yong has successfully undergone surgery in Qatar on his ACL injury.

The men's singles player is currently doing his rehab and is expected to return home within 4 to 6 weeks.

On another note, Kenny says BAM is ready to offer its assistance to independent shuttler Lee Zii Jia, who raised concerns after he posted cryptic and disturbing images on his social media recently.
