Will We See Three English European Finalists?

May 08, 2025

will we see three english european finalists?

Three premier league clubs will look to confirm their places in their respective European finals tomorrow morning.

Tottenham will travel to Norway for their Europa League second-leg semi against Bodo/Glimt, with Spurs holding a 3-1 aggregate lead.

They’ll be without James Maddison, who suffered a knee problem in the first leg, but Dominic Solanke and Son Heung-min could return from injury.

Meanwhile Man United are the favourites ahead of their Europa League second leg semi against visitors Athletic Bilbao, holding a 3-0 advantage.

Matthijs de Ligt will have a late fitness test after the defender limped off with an injury in their recent EPL defeat to Brentford

In the Conference League semis, Chelsea will host Swedish club Djurgardens after taking a commanding 4-1 victory in the first leg.

--

Arsenal captain Martin Odegard says the club must learn the right lessons, and come back stronger, following their Champions League exit.

He admits the team were not good enough this morning, after they lost 3-1 on aggregate to PSG in the Champions League semifinals.

The result means that Arsenal have claimed an unwanted record...

They've now been eliminated in all four consecutive semifinals in all competitions - the worst streak in the club's history.

--

Separately, Arsenal have stepped up contract negotiations with William Saliba.

A new long-term deal would allow the Gunners to demand a higher transfer fee for the defender, who has been linked with Real Madrid.
