Malaysia has picked up another gold medal at the Commonwealth Games!

It came via our badminton mixed team…who defeated defending champions India 3-1 in the final early this morning.

We also added another bronze…via Amir Daniel Abdul Majeed in judo…which is Malaysia’s first ever medal in the sport at the Games.

Yesterday’s haul brings our overall tally so far to three gold, two silver and three bronze.

Malaysia’s Muhammad Azeem Fahmi did well to finish in fifth place, in the 100m final at the World Athletics Under 20 Championship this morning.

The 18-year-old sprinter, who broke the national record yesterday, posted a time of 10.14 seconds…which is still the second fastest time by a Malaysian in the 100m.

Botswana’s Letsile Tebogo won the race, with a Under-20 world record time of 9.91 seconds.

Liverpool striker Diogo Jota has signed a new contract to remain with the Anfield club until 2027.

The striker has scored 34 goals in 85 matches for the Reds…since joining from Wolves two years ago.

Midfielder Phil Foden has reportedly agreed a new long-term contract with Man City…that will see him earning an estimated 225 thousand pounds per week at the Premiership champions.

And, a new study has found that Man United’s Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire have received the most abuse on Twitter compared to other Premier League players.
