Todt has mixed feelings about Hamilton's record run

Image: Reuters

FIA president Jean Todt says he has mixed feelings about Lewis Hamilton potentially equalling Michael Schumacher's record of seven F1 world titles.

Todt had been in charge of Ferrari during Schumacher's glory years, and says he would prefer it if the German's record remains intact.

However, the FIA chief admits that if Hamilton goes on to win his seventh world championship this year, it will be a thoroughly deserved victory.

Hamilton currently holds a 30-point lead in the drivers standings after four races, with his Mercedes team also looking far superior than their rivals this season.

Has Oltmans resigned?

There are reports that national hockey coach Roelant Oltmans has resigned, just months before November's Asian Champions Trophy.

Sources say its partly due to personal reasons, with the Dutch coach unable to see his family in Europe due to Covid-19 travel restrictions.

The Malaysian Hockey Confederation is due to make an official announcement on the matter later today.
