Saints strike late to deny Red Devils a win

Man United missed the chance to move up to third in the Premiership standings after they were held to a 2-2 draw by Southampton at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils remain in fifth place with only goal difference separating them from the top four, with three matches remaining.

One hand on the trophy

La Liga leaders Real Madrid have moved to within one win of the Spanish league title.

They defeated Granada 2-1 this morning to go four points clear at the top of the standings with two matches remaining.

Zinedine Zidane’s side now need just two more points from their remaining ties to be crowned champions – which could happen as early as Friday morning, when they take on Villareal.

No thoughts of leaving

Italian reports say Cristiano Ronaldo has no intention of leaving Juventus in the summer and is motivated to win trophies with the Italian giants.

It comes amid speculation Ronaldo could seek a new challenge elsewhere, having already proven himself a huge success at the Serie A club.

City want Pep for the long term

Sources say Man City are set to offer Pep Guardiola a new long-term contract.

This, as City proceed with their rebuilding of the squad, having successfully overturned a two-year ban from European football for breaching financial fair play regulations.
