Rafael Nadal edges Daniil Medvedev to win US Open

Rafael Nadal has won a fourth US Tennis Open title.

The Spaniard was made to work hard, playing almost five hours to defeat Russian youngster Daniil Medvedev in five sets.

This is Rafa's 19th Grand Slam title in his career, just one short of Roger Federer's record of 20.

Goh V Shem-Tan Wee Kiong win Taiwan Open

Malaysian men's doubles pair Goh V Shem and Tan Wee Kiong have won the Taiwan Badminton Open.

This, after beating their opponents from South Korea in a three-set thriller - 21-19, 15-21, 23-21.

Yesterday's dramatic triumph was the duo's second success this year, having clinched the Thailand Masters back in January.

They will hope to take this form to the China Open, which begins September 17th.

Dhabitah is well on her way to Tokyo 2020

National diver Nur Dhabitah Sabri has earned her spot in next year's Tokyo Olympics.

This, after she took the gold medal in the women's 3m springboard individual event, at the Asian Diving Cup here in KL.

Dhabitah says she's now aiming for another Olympic spot, in the women's 3m springboard synchronised with partner Wendy Ng.
