Pirlo takes charge at Juventus

Juventus have appointed former midfielder Andrea Pirlo as their new manager.

He replaces Maurizio Sarri, who was sacked after Juve crashed out of the Champions League, at the hands of Lyon. 

Pirlo's appointment came just 10 days after he was installed as manager of Juve's under-23 team.

Barcelona have powered into the Champions League quarterfinals, after beating Napoli 3-1 in this morning's last-16, 2nd-leg tie. 

Clement Lenglet, Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez scored in the first half, to give Barca a 4-2 aggregate win. 

The Catalan giants will take on Bayern Munich in the last 8. 

The German Bundesliga champions advanced after thrashing Chelsea 4-1, to complete a 7-1 aggregate win.

MotoGP has announced its first positive COVID-19 case, in a member of the TV crew for this weekend's Czech Republic Grand Prix 

Authorities assured that strict protocols are in place, and today's race will continue. 

Avintia Ducati's Johan Zarco has taken pole position for the race, ahead of Petronas Yamaha SRT duo Fabio Quartararo and Franco Morbidelli.

Valtteri Bottas has taken pole position for today's 70th Anniversary F1 GP at Silverstone, ahead of Mercedes teammate Lewis Hamilton.

Nico Hulkenberg, who was brought in to replace Sergio Perez, will start in 3rd place for the Racing Point team
