Peter Reid excited to see new AFF Cup champions
Dec 12, 2018
Former Thailand coach and Everton midfielder Peter Reid says the AFF Cup final has played out to be a great showdown so far, and is looking forward to see who will win this year's trophy.
This, after Harimau Malaya were held to a 2-all draw by Vietnam, in the first leg of the final in Bukit Jalil last night.
"It was brilliant. I loved the physicality about it; the tackling, the energy. So it'll be a really interesting second leg to the final. Who knows what will happen?"
The return leg will be held in Hanoi this Saturday.
The national squad aim to bring home Malaysia's second AFF Cup title, after winning it for the first time in 2010.
